World of Warcraft’s Battle for Azeroth is coming to an end. In Patch 8.2, we saw Azshara’s Eternal Palace raid conclude with the Old God N’Zoth being freed from his prison. Patch 8.2.5 brought the war between the Horde and the Alliance to an end, with Saurfang sacrificing himself for peace and Sylvanas heading off for some mysterious plan. Now, we’re taking the fight to N’Zoth himself!
In 8.3 players can expect to find a New 12 boss raid to conclude the story of Battle for Azeroth with the final boss of the raid being the Old God himself, N’Zoth. The patch will also contain a new affix for Mythic dungeons, Corrupted, that is suitably Old God-themed. Corrupted will open portals that skip players around the dungeon. Fans of the Mage Tower will be pleased to hear there is a similar challenge in Horrific Visions. Wrathion will guide players through scenarios of corrupted, alternate Stormwind and Orgrimmars. These challenges will level up a legendary cloak that will be used during the N’Zoth fight.
Players can also look forward to two more allied races being added to the game. The Vulpera, who are adorable tiny fox people will join the Horde and the Alliance will be welcoming the Mechagnomes we met on Mechagon in “Rise of Azshara.” Looking at the models of the Mechagnomes, I really can’t wait to get my hands on this allied race, they look so badass! These two new races will come with their own mounts, as well as the ability to unlock heritage armor later down the line.
And speaking of heritage armor, Goblins and Worgan players will now be getting their own heritage armor sets! Goblins get a red set that looks very techy and engineer-y and the Worgan counterpart is a very dapper outfit with a top hat and gold trim. Both armor sets look amazing, but damn those Worgan sets are fancy!
Players can partake in the PTR now to test out the new features coming in patch 8.3. So grab your top hat, jump into some Corrupted portals and take down one of the most powerful Old God to ever appear on Azeroth.
