The Tokyo Games Show has returned this year better than ever. During the event, Koei Tecmo announced a Fairy Tail JRPG that will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The Fairy Tail JRPG will be developed by the company Gust Studios (under the supervision of Hiro Mashima), who is most well known for the Atelier series. During the event, they teased a little trailer showing off some of the characters, Erza, Wendy, Gray, Lucy, Natsu and of course Makarov Dreyarand, and how they perform.

The game will be based on the very popular manga written by Hiro Mashima. This is the first Fairy Tail game to be released on home consoles and will allow fans of the series to enjoy this adventure again but in their own way. Throughout the journey, players will be able to form a party from a selection of over ten iconic characters. Players will be able to form their own dream team and even include the most unlikely of heroes for their adventure. You and your party will go on quests and take part in exciting missions, you will level up your team and grow a bond with your characters and even level up your guild. The epic magical battles from the series are brought to life for players to revisit and playout their own way, and they will have access to a diverse and wide range of magical abilities. Fans of the series may recognize moves and abilities such as Natsu being able to mode change and utilize the Lightning Fire Dragon Mode. Some characters, such as Dreyar, can be called into battle as a supporting character who will provide assistance during a battle and can prove quite useful with their powerful abilities to aid the player.
